Xinjiang research institute of Non-ferrous Metals was found in 1958,which is one of 242 system-changed research institute that is one of ten state bureau direct subordinative institute of Economy & Trade of CPR. Now it is one of the important research institutes in Autonomous Region. Also it is research&development professional organization of Non-ferrous Industry(Group) LLC. in Autonomous Region, which is a domestic professional research unit who mainly focuses on research, development,popularization and application of rare metals,such as lithium , rubidium and cesium these new materials and ore dressing, smelting, analysis and test of non-ferrous metals and precious metals. It has divided into party-mass department,enterprise management, mineral industry development, analisis&test center, technology development, production department,project planing, marketing department and clean production examination&consultation center, etc. There are 72 staff in the institute, 2 people are proffesor-class senior workers, 16 are senior workers,16 are engineers,3 are experts who enjoy government allowance, and 80% are technicians. Its present assets amounted to 28 million,which occupies 15000 ㎡.
These years, our institute is firmly concerning about development of rare metals , non-ferrous metals, precious metals and ferrous. It often improves its technological level, thus it totally completed over 600 scientific research projects,and 65 have gained scientific and technological achievements in Autonomous Region. Then, it provides an advanced technique for construction and development of some factories,such as coco tuohai non-ferrous,axi golden, xinjiang Lithium factory,etc. In the area of mining development, the institute has formed the service integration systerm in extraction, ore dressing, smelting, test,designing,production guide and technology training. At the aspect of new material, it has built many assemblies in lithium, rubidium, cesium,? hign-unmixed salt, and its products had well sold inside and outside, so, it became a base of research development&production in the high-unmixed lithium, rubidium, cesium, Lithium ion battery material and Military facilities. Otherwise, we take the function to test the nonferrous metal in municipality, study the analysis methods and make the product standard of nonferrous metal Li, Rb,Cs. Now we are the chief company? of national Li, Rb,Cs learning committee, chief company of national nonferrous metal product technology standard committee, be allowed to make technical research and product national weapons equipment . We got the honorable name “A grade technical credit company” in year 2006 and have got the quality certificate ISO9001:2000 in Sep.2001.
