Founded in October 1958,Xinjiang Nonferrous Metals
Research Institute is only specialized unit engaged in
ore dressing ,extractive metallurgy,chemical analysis,developing
new materials of rare metals and their uses spreading
in china.
The institute employs 134 staff,98 of them are technical
persinnel account for 73% of the whole,two of them are
professor/senior engineers,27 are senior engineers and
36 are engineers.It comprises the following specialiszed
units dealing with different aspects:new materials preparation
of lithium,rubidium and cesium,new materials |

RMB￥12,570,000 of fixed assets and completed more than
460 research projects,4 of them were rewarded by nation
outhorities,56 of them were rewarded by authorities
of province,ministry and higher level,It has formed
the advantages in ore dressing ,extractive metallurgy,testing
preparation of new materials and chemical analy sis
of lithium,rubidium and cesium,and exploiting mineral
resources of tantalum,niobium and gold.
